I had a frIend ask me why do they call em' ex's anyways? What does the ex stand for? That got me thinking...

hmm... maybe It Is for EXspecatIons? Because they didn't quite live up to yours or you didn't fit theirs??

How about EXchanges? Perchance somewhere along the line the exchanges became unpleasant.
