My dream journal

I came up with the most amazing idea since sliced bread! The past few weeks first thing I do when I wake-up is write down my dream in my dream journal. It's already been super insanely revealing. ;) I highly recommend to anyone and everyone to try it.

My birthday

I just realized I never posted pictures of my birthday party in August. It was star wars themed, and it was awesome! :)

hmmm???

Why is it that people say they regret the things they didn't say?? Is it because with the things that we did say we know the ending... and the things we didn't the outcome is forever UNKNOWN????? yo no se.

11) June 26th 2012: "I saw him after devo. It wasn't so bad although I sorta said "F my life" OUT LOUD, don't worry I just said the letter "f" I didn't say the actual word. Still I hope he didn't hear me"

Mi familia

I just now realized after all this time of having a blog I never posted a post about my craye- craye family.

Here there are in a nutshell: (20 years of living in one post)

Dad- Is hardworking and one of the funniest people I know. His humor can be loud and well inappropriate but he wouldn't be him without it. He tells sometimes wild stories that I chose to always believe because what fun is this world without imagination? Plus Dad's can't lie. I love working with him at the bindery. And well he may tease you a bit, I know deep down he's willing to accept you. (Or at least put up with you). He's always willing to take on callings at Church or in the work force and I appreciate his example. And he'd probably want you to know he has beauty and brains. :)

Mom- I often forget just how little my mom is. I know she tries of people talking about it all the time but she's so little. I forget that not everyone has a little mom. :) She's the rock of our family, even if she doesn't know it. She's the mastermind behind all our amazing trips. I don't know how she does it but somehow she manages to be super mom every single day. She picks us kids up, makes super we have food, a clean house,   get to seminary no matter how early. I can always count on mom to be honest. She has the most kind and giving heart ever. She loves people so much and she loves the Church. Who else can cook for 30 plus people at one time??! And she's one hot momma! ;)

Zach- The best older brother we have. He's always ready to have fun if you want to play a game Zach is your man. He is probably the best example ever... I dare you to say one bad thing about Zach. See can't be done. He worked really hard on his mission and that was a great example to see. And he married the most wonderful girl; Piret, and I can't wait to get to know her better over the years. I miss him when he's out at Utah and it was so nice to see them this summer.

Madeline- My fav. big sister. I understand how much pressure is attached to being a big sister.. and she's the oldest sister. Big deal. Madeline is most like Dad. She always makes me laugh. I must say since she's been serving her butt off on her mission that I've missed her a WHOLE lot. I think the cat and the spot on the floor where she sleeps miss her the most. I'm excited for her to comeback so we can go on adventures and get our sass on.

Amanda- Big haired Amanda. Since Amanda has been at College I've really missed her a lot to but i'm also way proud of her for going to school. And she bettter be enjoying Idaho even though it's not Provo. ;) It's funny because Amanda and I used to fight the most and I wish we didn't cause she's just the coolest. I must say though she is a quick forgiver and she is always mindful of others (sometimes to mindful.. hehe). I just know she's going to do amazzziing things.

Little hoe (Joe)- I know what everyone sometimes says about Joe but I want the record set straight right here, right now. Joe is THEE best little brother in the world. I KNOW he's really a good boy that tries to sometimes hide it behind high school teenage-ness. And you all must admit Joe is ALWAYS good for a laugh, even if you know you shouldn't be laughing. Just thinking about it cracks me up. You can always count  on Joe for an adventure to, me and him get into a lot of trouble sometimes. And guess what mark my words Joe will do fantatsic things.

Tatiana- Is growing the fastest. I've loved spending time with her since i've been home for break. Tatiana is going to be an amazing things. She's one of those super talented people. She can draw, she knows how to play the piano, she pretty much was a bike expert in like 3 hours, she can read better than most 12 years olds. And she is one of those secret funny types if you're close enough to catch her sassy witty remarks you'll know what i'm talking about.

Natalie- We wouldn't be the Bairds FOROUT nanny. She is such a sweet little thing. Always ready to share her candy. Always wanting to talk, about anything. She loves people and animals. Between her and Tati I don't think our cat or chickens have ever been alone. Natalie is probably going to grow up to be the sweetest girl you'll ever know. :)

So that's some about my family. And you can probably see now why I love them! :)
Also as a side note to all of you that have been "adopted" into our family, I love you guys too, and I'm sorry I'm too tried and lazy to list all of you. And brag about your awesomeness

Why my Zune would be the best boyfriend

I got a Zune at the start of summer from my little brother Joe. It was the best thing that EVER happened to my life, okay that's a bit of an overstatement.... but it's pretty swell.

Today on my way home from work I was thinking about it and I realized my Zune would be the ideal boyfriend:

1) It can come with you when you want it with you, and stays at home when you don't want it to. (Try and get a real man to do that)

2) Always "says" the right things at the right time. And if he starts to "say" the wrong thing you can just skip the song.

3) He can be any kind of man you want... Country, Rap, Spiritual, Hip-Hop, Classical, or maybe even Jazz.

4) He can be great with Kids. Mine has some Disney.

5) If you feel like it isn't working out you can erase all the history and start fresh.

6) Always willing to go running or on a road trip.

7) Always knows the time of day.

8) Easy access. Available at anytime you need.

Only downfall is that he can easily be stolen if you don't keep a close eye on him. And sometimes his battery dies, if you don't charge him regularly (But as we all know men have to be fed constantly and sometimes NEVER change)

Foster the people

Yesterday Juli and I made a last minute decision and went down to Salt Lake to see foster the people. It was   the best decision ever! They're GREAT on CD, but way better live, and as you can tell by the picture (taken by cell phone) that we were pretty gosh darn close. It was fantastic. Plus Kimbra was there, which made it a two for one. :) Totally worth it all!

Petting a squirrel

It's always been a secret dream of mine to pet a squirrel... yeah didn't think it'd happen. Especially in a place like Rexburg. BUT it totally did! Only regret, didn't get a picture. :/

Nest

Low and behold! Juli and I built a "nest". I'm pretty sure we're keeping it all weekend because I don't want to drag the mattresses back into our room anytime soon. ;)

Kittens

Do grown ups Google Image kittens??! I don't know, but if they don't then I don't want to be one.

What can you accomplish in a month? Think about it, it's probably more then you think! :) I accomplished a WHOLE lot in a month. But the real question is what am I going to do with this month? I'm not sure, but I'm sure it'll be awesome!

Here's a random picture of juli and I that made me smile:

Can't wait

I'm not going to lie, sort of can't wait for this summer! : ) If all goes according to planned I get to hike a mountain, run a race, and spend lots of time in NYC. Oh and make the 'big' bucks. Plus seeing my family won't be all that bad. Oh and having a car to drive. Maybe getting my gym membership back? (It won't be the same forout madeline). Idk, it's going to be a big deal... I can just tell.

Thoughts

These are my thoughts that won't seem nearly as deep when I'm more awake:

1) I think people mature in this order: Physical, Mental, and then finally Emotional. Then as you get older you lose it in that order. You lose your physical, then your mental, and finally emotional. Interesting huh?!

2) Ever heard that the night is darker than dawn?! Is that true or does the dawn only seem so bright because the night was so dark.

3) A good friend can take you farther then you can take yourself, exspeically if that friend has a car. ;)

4) The moon and the sun are in a complicated relationship. They have to take different shifts. ;) (But sometimes they Skype... you would have had to be there on this one).

5) I wish that I could sleep because 1:oo is really early to be up, but it's Tuesday tomorrow... and I love Tuesdays! :)

THE END

Analogies

Okay ready for some bragging?! I'm getting annoyingly good at analogies... I think I'm turning into my father.
It's pretty legit. I came up with a WHOLE long one about how my life was like a lake. That's when I realized I probably have an analogy problem.
I can remember my old man having 'annoying' analogies for everything when we were growing up (No offense dad cause now I love em). Funny how you appreciate things like that when you 'grow' up. ;)

Song stuck in my head:

"But you didn't have to cut me off
Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing
And I don't even need your love
But you treat me like a stranger and I feel so rough
No you didn't have to stoop so low
Have your friends collect your records and then change your number
I guess that I don't need that though
Now you're just somebody that I used to know" -Gotye

10 steps to get over someone

1) Tell them EVERYTHING! How embarrassingly "in love" you are with them. (It takes away the 'what ifs')

2) Set a date, a date that if they don't contact you by then they can 'never' come back. (3 weeks is suggested according to most internet sites)

3) Cry EVERYWHERE tell you don't want to cry anymore.

4) Don't get mad, be thankful for the person and everything they taught you.

5) Sincerely wish the best for them.

6) Don't blame yourself. (Cause you're awesome and they just DIDN'T see it)

7) Smile if you see them. (I find it helps to pretend they are just a random boy/girl on the street that you've never met)

8) Pray your heart out.

9) Tell yourself that it's okay to give up that they AREN'T coming back.

10) Talk to your friends, run, and eat candy. ;)

Google Problem

I have a Google-ing problem. The first step to overcoming it is admitting it! :)

My zombie problem:

Juli and I were talking about where we were a year ago and decided to look in our journals so we could laugh at our younger much stupider selves. Looking back, EXACTLY a year ago I had made a list of things that scared me. Well most of those were legit fears; like choosing the wrong person to marry, failing classes, and being alone. On that list was also....zombies. It's been exactly a year since my zombie phobia started! I kind of do this thing where I try to think of what I'd do if zombies attacked, RIGHT NOW. I can tell you how to exit just about an room and in anyway. I used to be worried that I was the only one, but I actually had a coworker that did the same thing. So, it's totally normal.... I think. Needless to say when the Zombies attack, you'll probably want to be with me. ;)

I like...

I like:

1) The gospel
2) My family
3) My friends
4) Walking barefoot (especially in soft green grass)
5) Baking and eating sweets ;)
6) Juice (especially on Wednesdays)
7) Soccer (especially winning)
8) Running (especially when you feel like you can go forever and ever)
9) Working hard to earn my money
10) Giving gifts (especially when they are a surprise)
11) Talking
12) Walking to class and seeing the Temple on the hill
13) Learning (just not the homework and test as much)
14) Meeting new people
15) The trees with the white flowers and look like popcorn
16) The cheap whale crackers from walmart. (cheap and better tasting)
17) Bikes
18) Being outside
19) New York City
20) Hiking
21) Legit mountains
22) The beach
23) My free, red converse with the cool design
24) Laughing and making others laugh
25) Switchblades
26) Animals (especially when they are cute babies)
27) Eating ice cream with friends
28) Rain
29) Reading
30) Movies
31) Kettle Chips (They just are better than other chips)
32) Key Chains (They tots jazz up any backpack)
33) Fuzzy socks (especially if they don't match)
34) Jackets (I have like 16 or so)
35) Ice cubes in a glass of water
36) Feeling accomplished
37) Figuring things out
38) Flowers
39) Stars
40) Swings
41) Sprinklers
42) Smoothies
43) When my friends/family are happy
44) Trampolines
45) Waterfalls
46) Milkshake Mondays
47) Flying on airplanes
48) Zombies and such
49) That moment when someone gets what you're talking about and agrees
50) Lists and goals

I don't like...

1) Losing friends
2) Doing homework
3) Studying for test (what I should be doing right now)
4) Not having anything to do (that feeling of wasting time)
5) Being mad
6) Feelings of  inadequacy
7) Sitting STILL in class
8) When a plan falls through
9) Buying things for myself

Single ladies running club

My roommates Juli, Jana, and our friend Kayla from the complex next door started a running club. Since my resume was the most impressive, no offense, I am the El Presidente. It's kind of a big deal! ;) My full title is El Presidente Forest. As in run forest run! Jana is Vice President (in case I get shot). Kayla is secretary. Juli is the treasurer. We meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at nine in the evening and go run at the park. Next we decided we need a catchy name thus the Single ladies running club was born. Our motto is "Won't be single for long". Our theme song (among other songs) is all the single ladies. We're thinking we need legit t-shirts, we want them to be pink. I'm pretty excited! We had rules but I forgot most of them. I only remember that you have to be single at the time of joining. You can NEVER quit, you can only be voted off.

365 days

365 days ago. It sounds like forever, huh? BUT really it's just a year. Think about it. Where were you a year ago?!

If could tell yourself a year ago where you are now would they believe you?

Not all that long, but enough to get things done. 365 days ago I was finishing my first semester... now look about to start my 4th.

What were your 'huge' problems?... See 365 days, really not that long. But I bet 20.00 dollars that most likely that problem is long since gone, or at least bearable.

So ready, here's the mind blowing part... where will you be in another 365 days from now?! Go ahead guess.. you could be right... but chances are you'll be wrong. ; ) In fact, I dare you to write it down and write down what's bugging you. After all, A LOT can happen in just 365 days.

In the end we are all light:

The end we are all Light:
By:  Liz Rosenberg

I love how old men carry purses for their wives,
those stiff light beige or navy wedge-shaped bags
that match the women’s pumps,
with small gold clasps that click open and shut.
The men drowse off in medical center waiting rooms,
with bags perched in their laps like big tame birds
too worn to flap away. Within, the wives slowly undress,
put on the thin white robes, consult, come out
and wake the husbands dreaming openmouthed.
And when they both rise up
to take their constitutional,
walk up and down the block, her arms are free as air,
his right hand dangles down.
So I, desiring to shed this skin
for some light silken one,
will tell my husband, “Here, hold this,”
and watch him amble off into the mall among the shining
cans of motor oil, my leather bag
slung over his massive shoulder bone,
so prettily slender-waisted, so forgiving of the ways
we hold each other down, that watching him

In the End We Are All Light
I see how men love women, and women men,
and how the burden of the other comes to be
light as a feather blown, more quickly vanishing

Your true colors

Social dynamics are the same everywhere even a tiny college run town like Rexburg. You have the rich kids, you have the middle class kids, and you have the poor kids. Yesterday, I had a slight boot problem as you can see from the featured picture. I didn't think much of my taped up boot until I was in a fancier place, then it hit me... I'm trash. haha! Next time, I won't wear my taped up boots to a '5' star apartment complex.. haha. You live and you learn. :)

You look trashy

A few days ago I learned about the 'art' of trash bagging! My friend Captain Morgan took some friends and me. Basically what you do is get a HUGE black trash bags and then have the smallest person get inside the bag and you cut holes for the feet and make small eye holes. Then you tie the top of the bag. The person goes and sits outside a door and literally looks like a bag of trash. I must this is one time when saying "you look trashy" is a compliment. So, when that person is all set you have another person ring the door bell/knock on the door. And run away. The people in the apartment come out and see a 'bag of trash', and the bag of trash proceeds to jump up and scary the crap out of them. It's pretty fun! I highly recommend it!

and they call it puppy love

This is my new Switchblade. I call him 'switch'!  I knew it was going to be love at first sight! :) Then I pushed the button the side and the blade flipped out and I'm not lie it was the COOLEST thing ever. It's already been VERY useful. I don't have to struggle to open packages or deal with those annoying fraying strings you get sometimes.
