2) Smell changing shampoo: This one isn't as easy to make. When I was younger we always seemed to have tons of different shampoos in the bathroom. I would always mix them because I would get tired of the same smell. But, I am not sure how one could make just one bottle change smells. Sigh!

Things I hope are invented soon:
1) 'Heated' coats/zip hoodies: I have one of those plug-in heated blankets.. it's changed my life. :) I left it at school and I am really missing it right now. Thank goodness I'll be flying out to west coast in a few days and can be reunited with it! I am waiting anxiously for the day that they have a heated coats. They really wouldn't be that hard to make; just run wires through the coat and instead of a plug-in have a removable re-chargeable battery. PLEASE someone come out with some fashionable heated coats ans zippys soon! I'll be happy to test them for you.

Dex
I have in this past year seen two of the worst movies EVER: 'Something Borrowed' and 'One Day'. Seriously, both of these movies just made me mad! They didn't have a point. They are the kind of movies that you keep watching in hopes that something will actually happen and then they come to an end and you're like 'WHAT?!'. I realized in both of these movies one of the main characters in the story had the name 'Dex/Dexter'. So my conclusions are: 1) !f the movie has a main character named Dex or Dexter TURN IT OFF! There is a 95 percent chance the movie is bad. AND 2) Dex was a popular name this year.
(This is nothing against the name Dex or Dexter... this is about the way that name shouldn't be used in movies... I think it's perfectly fine name in the 'real world')

Bathroom Bangs:
For weeks (ever since I saw "the one who got away" music video) I've been dreaming of the day I could sport my VERY own pair of 'Katy Perry bangs'. I just knew when I got them it was going to be a magical day. I'd probably automatically have a cool motorcycle, leather boots, and be like 10 pounds lighter. I hear bangs can do that to a person.
Throughout the past couple of weeks, I'd noticed that lots of people in the bindery were suddenly sporting FANCY hair cuts. Sometimes not having bangs before a break and having them afterwords.
Last Tuesday this LITTLE Asian lady (like 4'8) came up to me. Come to learn that this lady has been cutitng everyone's hair! She doesn't speak English really. But I did catch a few words "Bangs, I cut, 5 mintues, free, Bathroom, and 2nd lunch". I figured, free! And a cool story! (A secret hair cut in a factory bathroom! beat that?!) Plus the bangs of my dreams could be only a 1/2 hour away! What did I have to lose?!
When the 2nd lunch bell rang, I left my station and went into the bathroom. There she was with a chair all set up in a corner. She had 'legit' hair cutting tools and everything.

She did her best, but they were unfortunately a bit short, and not the Katy Perry Bangs of my dreams! Thank heavens hair grows back! Now I only have to wait a month or so and I have the 'banging bangs' of my dreams. Plus, I still got the story, just not quite the one I was hoping for, and the bangs are 'growing' on me.

50 years to Early
50 Years to Early:
Today I had to get my hearing checked. I was grumpy about it probably the WHOLE time! Once my dad and I got there we rolled on into the office. I realized that EVERYONE else was in there 70's and 80's. I was 50 years to early. So, I wasn't all that surprised when my hearing passed. At least now you know, I can hear you!

Bindery Think:
Working at the bindery is not the most thrilling job in the world, and basically requires no thinking. I am waiting for the day they train a chimp to do my job. All day you just stand in the same spot; book in machine, press button, take book out, and repeat. This not requiring much thought, leaves basically 8 hours a day of thinking time.
I wish that I could get a 2nd job as like a 'dear abby' type of person because I would have SO much time to think about and solve there problems. I have already basically analyzed and reanalyzed (several times) every relationship in my life. It's gotten to the point where I analyze my friends relationships with their friends.
Sometimes I go so deep into what I refer to as bindery think. That I freak myself out. Once I was certain for like 20 minutes that I wasn't really in the bindery and I was a crazy person. Another time I wrote like 6 songs in my head. One of favorites was when I thought of what animal everyone in the bindery most looks like.
In order to keep myself from getting the same song stuck in my head ALL day long. I play games like 'what song is stuck that person's head' you can usually tell by the rhythm they are working to, and the popular songs the radio. Or I play who 'secretly-wants-so-and-so'.. which is NOT very much fun anymore because the summer help has gone back to high school. I also play 'what is that Russian saying;. where I try and figure out what on earth they are saying to each other.

Juice Wednesday!
A little over a month ago... Madeline and I had a dream! :) haha!
Wednesdays are pretty much awesome because all the rest of our family goes to church meetings so Madeline and I get the house to ourselves. Thus Juice Wednesday was born. It's happened most weeks since I've been home.. I think we missed 2 or 3.
We get home from work and then wait till everyone leaves and jump into the big white van and roll on over to stop-n-shop.
-The first week was raspberry lemonade. It was great! That simply juice stuff... yum! Plus, the red head was there! :)
-Next we tried Guava juice. It was pretty good.
-Following that was raspberry lemonade time again, we weren't as original in those days.
-Then one of my favorites v8 Splash. We had a coupon. So we got mixed berry blend and tropical blend. We got blender skittles to go with... It was bender day.
-Next we got Tang. A little reminder of our childhood days. My dad calls it sugar water.
-This week we got Orange-Strawberry-Banana.
Who knows what next juice Wednesday holds!!! But I do know it'll be GREAT! ;)

It's been a life time:
It's pretty much been a life time since I wrote a blog post. I think it's probably because I have nothing cool to report. hmm.... sad day!
I guess something interesting is that I worked with a bunch of the little old russian ladies at work. After about 2 days of hearing them for 8 hrs straight in Russian or with a Russian accent depending on weather they know some English or not. Some don't speak any English, like happy board cutter guy. He and I have to communicate through hand motions. But the point is, I A. forgot I was in America and B. my inner voice obtained a Russian Accent. I sometimes wish I could have one in real life so when I said 'ultrabind' it was would sound like they say it which is more of an 'ultraboound'. It makes me wonder if Gage's inner voice has a spanish accent??? This are the questions that would keep up at night if I wasn't so tired. ;)
Also, the battle with the Turkey in our neighborhood is still on-going. We shot him with an airsoft gun twice.. and he disappeared for a few days. But now he's back. That thing comes up to my knees, we deftly need some pictures of that thing. It avoids are lawn a little more now though so that's good. I keep waiting for the day it becomes road kill, we live on route 20 for pete sake.

Quote:
"Sometimes we let our thoughts of tomorrow take up too much of today. Daydreaming of the past and longing for the future may provide comfort but will not take the place of living in the present. This is the day of our opportunity, and we must grasp it." - Pres. Monson

Should I be offended?
For those of you that may not finish this post.. I want you to know that I am not really offended. :)
My family (well, most of my family) has a very interesting sense of humor. Basically, anything and everything is funny... even things that aren't maybe suppose to be funny. It's gotten me in trouble SEVERAL times!
Yesterday my old man made some chill for the dinners. It was alright. But he made one mistake. The beans were like rocks. I ate most my bowl.. but after that he decided to try cooking them for longer. So, we had the leftovers tonight.
We were all goofing off having a grand ole time when tragically I choked on the soup!
What does my family do?!... LAUGH! lol!
Am I suppose to be offended or not?! ;)

Doctors Suck
Going to the Doctors is pretty much a HUGE waste of time and money. All they do is make you feel bad about yourself and worry about nonsense things. Also they just say 'oh you'll have to comeback and get this and this and this shot'. Or they send you off to another doctor. Which ends up being a even bigger waste of time and money, Pointlessness!
Honestly, I went today and felt like they did nothing. Weighted me, checked my height. Then took my blood pressure a few times (Which was weird). Checked that I can kick when they hit my knee. That's it. Lame!
Another question: Why do they make you make you make another appointment before you leave for like NEXT YEAR?! Is it because they know they suck and are pointless check-ups?! That it's the only way to get you comeback?! I think that's probably it. If that's the reason props to them.
Also, every single time I go and they try and tell me to go see another doctor I think to myself 'why not cut out the middle man?'. These are the questions that keep me up at night?
Seriously though, why not cut out the yearly check-up. Just go when you feel sick, or realize you have problems seeing or ect?! Idk.. that's just my feeling it on.
Plus I hate those annoying 'dress things' they make you wear. haha! The end!

Finding Notes:
My all time favorite at the bindery is finding sketchy notes in the textbooks. Cover Stripping is the best. So far this summer I have found: some Korean money, lots of interesting notes and doodles, and my favorite a 'fortunate telling fish'. You place it in your palm and it'll curl up in a certain way, or just it'll just sit. Sometimes if it'll flip over! (Only saw this once!) Anyways depending on what it does it tells you about your mood/personality. Mine said I am passionate.
It was deftly a fun find! :)
Today I found a some dark note which read (spelled actually as it came): "Life is so hard especially when you get into your teen years! right know i disagree w/ my mom so much and she yells and screams contently and threatends me. on the outside i act okay but on the inside i'm jjust torn apart its hard to describe my life your are prob. thinking omg-little teenage issues! But its not school is affected relationships are collected and its not good.. to 7th 8th graders -anonomus between 04 and 06 .. got it now :"(
Interesting huh?! Also today, I found a picture of patrick star smoking a joint and spongebob holding a sign saying 'i'm gay'.
This is whats going on well kids go to public school these days...

Some days just rock!
Work was alright. Lots of day dreaming time! :) :) Which I usually enjoy. Sometimes my daydreams can become so intense that they turn into daymares. They are WAY worst than nightmares! I PROMISE you! :)
Then I got 4 cookies for the price of two out of the vending machine. :) Gotta love that!
Ultimate Frisbee it up.. It was awkward at first but it ended up being alright-ish! haha It was pretty fun!
Then Frosty's and dancing in Wendy's!
All in a day's work! ;)

Gym Daddy:
This morning Madeline and I dragged ourselves to the gym. Like we try to do everyday. (Most days we do alright). They now have our membership numbers memorized! ;) That means we are legit members.
My dad is out of town for the next two weeks, which is really quite sad. Heartbreaking actually. My mom was out of town for so long. Then just as we are recovering and she's back BAM my papa leaves.
Anyways. We realized we need a new gym daddy. At least for two weeks.. One we can tell our funny stories to, and tell when other gym goers judge us. :)
So we're on the hunt if you know any. Should go to Planet Fitness. Be awesome! Be able to lift. Being rich wouldn't hurt. ;)
Anyone interested? Lol

Maria
One of the Russian Ladies at the Bindery has taken to calling me Maria. She seriously thinks my name is Maria. Which is funny because her name is Maria. I would try and explain that's not my name but she speaks very little English as is. We already talk using various hand movements and raised or lowered voice tones to get our points across. We must look so funny waving our hands around and saying short sentences such as ' take book' or 'no have' or 'where book'. She doesn't seem to like me very much. I think I am a punk kid that is going to screw everything up in her eyes. She frightens me she yells at the top of her lungs 'MARIA!!' and then hand gesture and says the few words we've worked out. I VERY quickly learned she wasn't yelling Maria at herself. Therefore to avoid being even more on her bad side 'Maria' it is. After all Miriam .. Maria.. not that different right?!

Last Couple Days
1) GROWN-UP:
I am OFFICIALLY a grown-up!! First I turned 19! But MORE importantly than that:
I knew I was grown-up the moment I signed up for a gym membership! That's right you are looking at the proud owner of a Planet Fitness Membership!!!
AND if that isn't grown-up enough for you, I get up early and go before my 8 hour job! ;)
Still not grown up enough?!! WELL!!! I watch the news when I am running! haha!!
PRETTY Legit!!! huh?!
2) POD WORK:
I got assigned to an awesome... but mostly scary and stressful task at the bindery for the week! A lot rest on my shoulders. It pretty much sucked yesterday because I damaged a couple books in the process of learning everything.
BUT today I got it all down! :) Now I just gotta pick up my speed.
Now I just miss gossiping with my buddies! :) Next week I'll probably be back with them though! :) It's been nice to not have float all over wondering where I'll be working that day!
My goal is to learn every machine (I am about 3 or 4 away!)
3) CHILLIN:
By the time we get home from work it's usually like 6:00 or later! (We've been doing a lot of overtime and errand running after work) By that point we are all tired and hungry.
So we usually have a family dinner then watch mindless television for an hour or so and then sometimes my sisters and I go running then bed. This is life right now!
4) WRITHING:
Yesterday we all sat at the table and wrote missionary's together! :)

EXPOSURE: Old Man!!
My Old Man has won father of the year 22 years running... at least that's what he claims ;) I would personally have to say 19 years. haha! We all know it wasn't a family till I was here!
He is so so funny! I remember when I was little people were ALWAYS telling me how awesome and funny my Dad was. I would always tell them that he just used the same jokes over and over again. It wasn't tell I was a bit older that I learned he didn't. He is super sassy and witty. Deftly a trait I hope I inherit! I also wouldn't mind inheriting his ability to come up with analogies on the spot. Seriously! It's the coolest super power ever!
Everywhere we go my Dad is always sassying and running (He literally runs EVERYWHERE it cracks me up) and trying to embarrass us kids. When I was little it would make me SO mad and embarrassed. I am POSITIVE he embarrassed us on purpose which now that I am older I can respect and appreciate it. I have learned from my father that life is to short to not enjoy it. I now find it rather assuming when my father is harassing the employees at the local grocery store.
My Dad has the best laugh! I try very hard to get a good laugh out of him. Just chilling on the car ride home kicking with my old man. Swapping stories. Some of my favorite times with him. He also is always encouraging us to silly things!! He's had us jump off of waterfalls, AND say slightly inappropriate things at slightly inappropriate times.
HE freak-en Rocks! He's been the creator of many of our families BEST one liners! :D Such as "A family that (fill in the blank) together stays together". He deftly has my vote for father of the year this year! He is a hard-working, smart, funny, secret sweetheart, joking, fun, country-ghetto, totally loveable, and just all around awesome!
I really hope he likes this blog!

Damaged Books:
I have worked at the bindery for three long summers! I love it don't get me wrong.. but standing for 8 hours a day for 40 hours a week isn't as easy as you'd think. Not to complain. The money rocks though! The Bindery basically paid/are paying for my college. Thank you Bridgeport National Bindery. Don't get my wrong I work hard for that money.. but still.
Back to the story. After all those many days slaving away in the bindery. Thus it is with a heavy heart I regretfully inform you that I, Miriam Baird damaged my first book. It is very sad I know. Heart breaking really. SAD DAY times a million!!!
I have no excuse. But I'll try and talk my out of it anyways. I had a BAD luck day. I broke three machines. The Hydro-Press froze on a book. It was stuck for a long time. The Hydro-Press is like a huge machine that comes down a flattens the books. You know that crease on the covers, that's where it comes from. Sometimes when the book slides the lever that comes down to hold the book before you flatten it pinches my fingers. It makes me think bad words. Good news though: Ralph finally fixed it, I have been informed that this happens a lot with this machine. But still.
Then the Nipper didn't want to work. This one is really scary to me. I still like to work it. But it frightens me. You know if Star Wars the giant pit (the Jab-the-Hut one) it reminds me of that one. You put the books down in a 'pit' and push down on the pedal a the 'jaws' come and pinch the book together. It just gets to me! Makes loud noises and stuff. Anyways, that one Joe fixed me for though. Still it was upsetting.
Following that, the Pray-cut decided to get stuck. The Pray-cut takes the spine off of books (When they are still in there covers). It's actually one of my fav's. I don't why.. just is. This one, I kicked it a few times and pushed all the shiny buttons. Eventually it fixed! But in my excitement of fixing the machine. I cut a book on the Pray-cut that was suppose to be cut on the Backwacker. (Backwacker is a HUGE knife that cuts) Since I cut it on the machine I cut off the words. SIgh. The worst part is I didn't even notice! Sara brought it up to my attention later. Then I was informed that I was going to have to cut my finger off. The bindery has an "eye-for-an-eye" policy.
So I took the walk of shame, very prepared to do my time. I did the crime. I didn't lose my finger that day.. but I did lose my pride.

I Aaahhh for ice cream
At least once a week, sometimes twice a week. I beg my Papa to stop on the way home from work-y work for ice cream. Being his favorite daughter... it usually work! (No offense sisters you know it's true).
So back to the story at hand: after work I said let's all go to Moo-a-lious ice cream... And we deftly did. It's this cute little ice cream place conveniently located on our route home from work.
We get out of the car and they open the window to take our orders. My Papa orders a Root Beer Float right away. Mean while Juli, Madeline, Amanda, and I literally stand there and go "AHHHH... ahhhhh.... ahh.... idk". It took us a while but slow and surely we got our orders decided We're talking a good 15 minutes later. It was so ridiculous I informed them all that it would surely be blogged about... and now it is.
GUYS WHY DON'T WE ALL JUST SIT HERE AND THINK ABOUT WHAT WE'D DO FOR KLONDIKE BAR! :)

Life as I currently know it
My life has fallen into this new pattern: Get-up, go to work, work ridiculous overtime, eat dinner, chill for a bit, run, chill for like an hour, and then sleep. Way boring. ;) I barely have time to think of sassy blogs to blog about. Clearly. It's sad that I feel Like I had more time in college. lol! Weird sauce!
Everyone is rushing all over the place. Since I have been home the eight of us that are currently in Massachusetts have not all been under the same roof. It's been intense, but exciting. I have to readjust to the Baird life style. I think I need how to be a Baird rehab. haha.
Basically to be a Baird to have to be:
1) First to come, first to leave
2) Witty/Sassy with the comebacks
3) Always on the go (doing something productive)
4) Have to be one of the beautiful people (haha, through that one in for the papa)
5) Make jokes 97% of the time.. haha.
Won't change any of it though! ;) This is why one day when I grow-up and finally trap a man for life (...gage run well you still have the chance.... haha...) I'll probably keep the Baird as my middle name since I don't have one.

Pranks
Pranks are something I try often but rarely succeed at!! Seriously one of the best purchases I made was at college, I bought a Rubber Snake for a 'buck'. Best buck I eva spent. Even though it barely succeeded in scaring anyone, I would totally buy it all over again.
Another almost awesome prank: I was going to have a random 'scary' looking boy accompany me off the plane when I went to meet my family. But atlas... epic fail.
Basically anytime someone leaves the room you can bet I am planning a prank that will fall short... BUT
Basically anytime someone leaves the room you can bet I am planning a prank that will fall short... BUT
I have has some successful pranks:
1) Nichole's cousin and I scared the pants off of Chole when we picked her up one night from work. I brought her cousin along and we had her stand up a against a walk and sneak up one Chole from behind. It was fantastic!
2) When I was in Idaho, and Gage was here in Massachusetts. We had a Skype date, so I slipped a ring on to my ring finger. Then when we started talking I was all 'Gage... umm... listen there is something I need to tell you'... (and I flashed the ring)... it was GREAT! haha! I LOVE that boy! :)
3) Putting a hair tie on the water sprayer... funny until I got in big trouble.
4) Hiding in a closet with Nichole after we turned out all the lights and scaring Capri when she came home!
5) When someone goes to the bathroom, go and put you face right up against where they will open the door. So when they open the door the first thing they see is BAM your face. Guaranteed a JUMP EVERY time ;)
Those are just a few of my favorites! ;)

24 hours:
I have officially been home in Massachusetts for 24 hours!! Turns out A LOT can happen in 'a day'! :)
Got in at midnight.. My sistas; Madeline and Amanda were waiting at the gate for me. We rushed and got my bags and then flagged down my papa. We all talked and ate donuts on the way home. I missed me some Dunkin Donuts.
Paused slightly to see the 'boat' car... haha. Then got home around 1. Still being on Western Time it felt like 11. So, I got Madeline to watch 'trash' TV and talk with me until 4. :) Only to fall asleep in the 'man-room'.
It was fantastic. I woke-up to my little mom jumping on me. She saw the feathers in my hair and she was to say the least shocked. I told her it's totally cool, and I went 'Indy' at college. They'll grow on her! :) haha Love that lady!
Then we rushed to Costco and Kohls for some quick errands before the ward activity. Saw some of the Tornado damage..:(
The ward activity was fun! I finally got to see little joe who was sleeping over at the Birds last night. It wouldn't have been right if I didn't run across the field to embarrass him. :) It was nice to see everyone from the ward. Lots of changes, but lots of the same. The kids all look bigger.
After we did 'the Baird thing' and bounced out a bit early. First to come, first to leave. ;) Then we came home and made a video called 'MTV gardens' based off of MTV cribs..haha. I missed goofing off with my sistas.
Went to the mall it was pretty silly.
Made a video making fun of Madeline. Ate some Mac and Cheese. Went to Stop and Shop with my sistas boyfriend and some of my sisters...Went running with my sistas. The humid weather kicked my trash... And that makes it a day!! :) Everyone is very in and out. One day next week it'll just be Madeline and I. It should be fun!

Facebook Stalking:
Facebook Stalking should be considered Americas NEW favorite pass time!!! Seriously how many of you spend at least an hour a week on Facebook?! It's no longer hey I wonder whatever happened to so and so... you can just Facebook stalk them know. It's no longer.. 'is that person in a relationship?!' Facebook harbors that answer too.
Want to have a party?! You can invite all your Facebook friends.
Bored... ?!! Well Facebook has a several solutions: a) Games (such as Farmville) b) Check out what your friends are doing c) post a status saying 'bored' and see who responds d) see who is on chat and wants to talk
Something big happens in your town BAM your friends can know instantly.
Awesome day, you can tell everyone.
Something witty to say?! Update your status.
Climbed up a awesome mountain? Post a picture!
Facebook is the future of communicating... Just a few years ago people went to each other to Face to Face or through land lines.. now it's Facebook.

EXPOSURE: Juli Loosle!
I met Juli Loosle when we were SO little! She is the cutest, sweetest girl I know! I remember when she moved into our ward right before girls camp time-ish one summer. I knew when she scared the pants off of all of us, by throwing a rock in the creepy water in the middle of night... that we were going to be friends for life. :)
I can remember being 14 sleeping over in the basement and talking about all the boys we liked (what 14 yr old doesn't have a million crushes). Playing the fortune game trying to find out which boy liked us back. Making list of things we wanted to do when we hung out because we could NEVER decide what to do otherwise (plus the lists were so much fun). I can remember calling her because I was so upset I was moving to Massachusetts. She told me to come over a sleepover. I did and we purposely got lost, watched a cheap movie, and scared her dog Molly with bubbles. I'm so happy that we have been able to hold on to and strength our friendship over these past few years.
I can remember talking about how one day we'd go to college together. How'd we have drivers licenses and cars. How we'd have boyfriends. How we'd party all the time at college and our parents wouldn't be able to tell us what to do. How we could eat junk food all the time. Basically this all came true. ;)
This semester was seriously the best semester ever! It was so much fun. Drama sometimes but fun! I learned SO much, and made some AMAZING hopefully life long friends. Juli was there for me all long. Always willing to listen with a non judgmental ear and to go grab some junk food and go on an adventure. She is always there to help me solve my problems. I just HOPE and HOPE that one day I can be as much help to her as she has been to me. Although I don't wish silly nonsense drama on her! ;)
It was so much fun to have her in so many of my classes! Every morning we'd text each other both hoping the other one would have an excuse for us not to go to class. :) (Don't worry we always went) Expect.. the one time we slept in after the Transformers 3 midnight showing. But that was completely an accident I swear. ;) It was also fun to try and study for our psychology test together. The best was when we discovered our teacher steals ALL his questions from the internet! LMBO
I am going to miss seeing Juli everyday. I think we went a total of seven days this semester without seeing each other. haha! She is best! Yesterday, when both of our minds were completely blown, she knew JUST what to say. She knew just how to listen. Her mind was as blown just as much as mine was! haha!
We had some of the best times, EVER! We learned not to hang out at night time at churches. We learned that sometimes you just need to go and walk and walk and talk to someone to feel better. We learned that we both have a weakness for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies and caramel Hershey kisses. We learned we shouldn't try to run together because we unmotivate each other.. haha ;) We learned that maybe we shouldn't text in church and class even if we are just texting to keep each other awake. We learned sometimes you need to scream and run in circles on a random field. We learned boys are idiots sometimes but they think like us. We learned that sometimes it's okay to skip Devo. and get crazy bread. We learned that walking to somewhere can be fun, but sometimes once you get there the walk back takes a life time. We learned not to walk on railroad tracks at night time. We learned not to admit we are bored or we'll NEVER finish our homework. We learned that the gardens has a waterfall. We learned car therapy can save lives. We learned not to jay walk. We learned not assume things (haha the HARD way)!!!!
Juli is a red head with a soul! ;) (Inside Joke.. no offense to other red heads)

Broken Things
Sigh, I am so ready to go home today! Everything is breaking left and right this semester. I don't pay almost 1000 dollars a semester for this!!! Don't get me wrong.. I love living at mountain pines, I do however have some serious complaints.
At one point both of our toilets were broken for a whole weekend. That was not the best of weekends. Having to bug our neighbors all the time. We currently are suffering from having no hot water! This means no hot showers, no way to efficiently clean dishes, heck no way to efficiently clean anything. Germs like cold water. Heck even if we could clean the dishes; our dishwasher leaks a bit sometimes. I kind of find that one funny, because people don't see the water so they walk in the water and make funny faces. Our freezer I think doesn't always work the best because the ice cream is often way too soft. The shower was broken for a few days, while the bathroom light was brunt out. We have no other way of getting light in there other than the light blub no windows or anything... That was a awkward time. Showering in pitch darkness while the drain isn't working unless you hold it down. Ninja style much?! The garbage disposal had a glass rock from a fish bowl stuck in it for a few days and made a nasty sound when you turned it on. Nichole and I spilled bleach on our carpet one day. Don't worry we 'fixed' it. Actually I think that might be it (for the literally broken things at least. It's spring semester, aka the 'love' semester. There is a saying out here 'ring-by-spring'. It holds true. The relationship drama is currently at a all time high!! The semester is ending... Heart breaks left and right.

EXPOSURE: My little Mom
My little mom is the: sweetest, cutest, littlest, best lady ever! No offense to all my readers but your mom can't be as awesome as mine! The worst part is she doesn't see it.
She is whole 58 inches tall! Has awesome hair that always looks prefect I wish I had inherited that gene! She always has the cutest little outfits too. I have a little roommate that is her height and she makes me miss my mom all the time.
I want to look and be JUST like my mom when I grow up! I would NOT mind at all looking like her at all...she's hot! BUT more importantly I want to be the kind of mother that she is. My mom is super woman! She is a hard working, goal driven lady!
She manages 7 kids, a naughty cat, and a husband. She has the most amazing garden. She does all the driving us around. She cooks us amazing food. She keeps the house clean. She does her church callings. She is an amazing friend to her friends. She makes sure we all make it to practice on time. She writes a AWESOME blog. Takes us to our doctor appointments. She also takes time to listen to us and be our mom. And much much more that we often don't even see and notice.
She is the kind of mom that encourages you to get out there in the world and try things. She wants us to have friends and awesome experiences. She drags us all over to beach, NYC, hikes... Even when we are complaining we always have fun! Weather we admit it or not. I would not have come to BYU-Idaho without her pushing me to do so. :)
She's also always willing to go out of her way to make sure we can see our friends. I can remember countless times where we've run back and forth over town dropping some of us kids off at friends and picking up other kids friends to come over. I don't even want to know how much gas she's wasted just driving ME around. Plus she is always willing to let us have a party! (I think I got my partying side from her) It always used to crack me up that she would tell us that if we needed to get out of an awkward moment or didn't want to go somewhere we could blame it on her. You know the whole 'my mom says I can't go' phrase.
She is really the BEST! I love when she used to let me miss school and chill with her if I was having a bad day. Or she'd let me go shopping with her. Or we'd just eat some of Dad's candy on her bed when he was out of town and we needed a chocolate fix.
I want her to know that she is the most amazing mother in the world. I'm grateful for her. And to know that anything bad I do, I get from Dad! ;)
Why every girl needs sistas! (A Picture Blog)
My sistas drive me NUTS! But I love them! They are all so beautiful and funny and awesome! I am so very pumped to see them all agian and spend some time with them! Start stealing each others stuff, having cat fights, watching chick flicks, telling secrets, doing each others hairs, having adventures, watching late night movies in the man room, running, eating candy,... :) sigh! It's gonna be awesome! Here are some pictures I found of some of my favorite sista times! :)
The time Madeline and I worked SO hard to get this HUGE box home from the book bindery! We had to stuff it into the back of the 15 passanger van! We walked through the bindery with it over our heads! Then on the way home we were so distracted we ran out of gas! Almost got stuck next to a creepy field.
The beach! How can you not have fun at the beach? This picture isn't from this trip. But last summer Amanda and I had a combined beach birthday party! It was so much fun!
Shampooing and Conditioning in the rain! :) Fun times! Tell it stopped raining then we had to fight over the drain pipes! ;)
Hiking! Always fun! Although we are so very competitive in my family sometimes it feels more like a race to the top. :)
Ruining Family Pictures/ causing my parents anxiety! :)
Last but NOT least don't forget those little girls! We wouldn't be the 5 sistas without them! :)

If you could go back:
If you could back in time, what would you change?! This morning I was so sure of like a million moments in life I would change. Maybe this is because it's been on my mind lately, but mostly this came to my mind because I saw the movie 127 hours (would not recommend it) in the movie he wished he could go back in time and tell people where he was so he could have been saved and not have had to cut his arm off. So I got to thinking and if you really think about it going back would be a pretty bad idea. The mistakes you make get you to a point in your life that you need to be. A lesson that you need to learn. Something that although potentially painful, needed to happen; so that you could grow. Here are some examples:
1. This Morning: I didn't get home from Utah until very early this morning and I did NOT want to get up for psychology in like 3 hours. But when my alarm went off, I eventually forced myself to get up and go. At first I was mad because when I got all the way to the building, I learned my class was cancelled, I wanted to go back in time and I should have just stayed in bed. It ended up being a great thing because I got to use that time to get juice and visit with Juli. If I went back in time and stayed in bed that wouldn't have happened.
2. Hurting friends: My least favorite! I don't like when my mistakes hurt others. I made a mistake a few days ago that really hurt a dear friend of mine. At first I wished and wished I could go back in time and change it. Thinking about it now without that experience I wouldn't have learned how to be a better, different kind of friend. I wouldn't have learned not think about only myself so much all the time. Although I hate to hurt people and I try to avoid it. I learn so much every time I do. I become a better person. It just sucks it has to happen the hard way.
3. Failing Tests: College life is full of this for me. I hate failing, I always feel so dumb. I always want to go back in time and study harder or cheat cause now I know the questions so I could find out the answers and then go back and take the test again. BUT if I never failed the tests I wouldn't learn how to study. I wouldn't get that awesome feeling of accomplishment when I pass one.
4. Heart Breaks: Often the things we want to go back and change are huge. Basically the plot of any major chick flick.... Heart break = Suck! But are also somewhat necessary and something that we shouldn't wish to go back in time and change. You can learn a lot from them. For example: If someone hurts your feelings by doing or saying something you can learn more about who you are. And about who they are. How people treat each other says a lot about them, and how you acted or got to that point where they hurt you (or vice verse-a) says a LOT about you.
5. Sunscreen: Sometimes these lessons we learn can be small and simple. I was looking at old pictures on the Facebook and was reminded of an awesome beach birthday party from last year. Everyone that went got BAD sun burn. It was so funny to go to work on the following Monday because you could tell who went to the party. We were walking around like old people making faces every time our burns were touched, or we moved in the wrong way. We all wished we could go back in time and change that. Simple lessons = simple solutions.
